Wise Life Logo

Wise Life is based on five core modules: Introduction / Discovery, Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Through these core modules, Wise Life aims to reduce stress and increase effective behaviors, respect for self, self-acceptance, self-validation, self-awareness, coping skills, emotional modulation, effective communication, and goal-directed behaviors. Many people did not have these life skills taught to them and are struggling to find their way at a time when the number of people impacted by anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles is at an all-time high.

Wise Life is derived from the premise and methods utilized in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Because this course is not facilitated by or affiliated with a licensed mental health practitioner, DBT will be credited as the foundation, but the course will not be identified as therapy or a replacement for therapy.

About This Project

The goal of this course is to provide a free, convenient, and accessible foundation and understanding of the five modules to learners in order for them to begin to build the life they want. The instruction is self-paced and delivered online in an asynchronous format.
